Nicola Barry

bp delivers energy products and services to our customers around the world, and plans to do so increasingly in ways that we believe will help drive the transition to a lower carbon future.

Nicola is responsible for leading the origination efforts in Europe for bp’s trading and shipping to establish value chains for lower carbon hydrogen and ammonia to help build out tomorrow’s energy system. She works with customers, partners and stakeholders in hard to abate industries such as refining, power, steel, chemicals and marine in line with regulatory and policy drivers.

Nicola has worked in the energy industry for bp for over 25 years, predominantly in trading and shipping and across oil, gas and chemicals. She has held roles in refining, downstream markets, shipping, commodity trade flows, international market and business development both in London and Singapore. She holds a steering committee position in marine decarbonisation.
