Mark Williams is Chief Executive of Maritime London, the trade association which works to promote the UK’s world-class maritime services cluster and to strengthen London’s role as a leading international centre for shipping, finance, law, insurance, technology and professional expertise.
A widely respected maritime economist, strategist and adviser, Mark is known across the shipping industry for clear, independent analysis of freight markets, trade, energy, geopolitics, and maritime finance, and for translating complex market developments into practical insight for senior industry and policy audiences.
Mark brings 30 years’ experience in shipping, including senior research and strategy roles in shipbroking, consultancy and industry leadership. He has advised shipowners, investors, governments and maritime organisations, and has built a reputation as an engaging speaker, writer and convenor on the forces shaping global shipping.
