Louise Nevill is the Chief Underwriting Officer Specialty, UK & Lloyd’s for AXA XL. The UK Specialty team are focused on providing innovative insurance products, resolution focussed claims expertise and risk consultancy services for our brokers and clients. Louise’s role is to lead, develop and grow the business whilst ensuring the best customer outcomes at all times.
Experience
Louise joined AXA XL in September 2025, she has almost 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Prior to AXA XL, Louise was the CEO of Marine, Cargo & Logistics for Marsh UK.
Since joining the marine market in 1996 with Markel, her extensive experience includes being Vice President at Gard (UK), Director of Underwriting for Non-Static Risks at W/R/B Underwriting and Head of Marine & Energy for Talbot Underwriting.
