Lola Fadina
Director for Maritime, Department for Transport
Lola was appointed Director for Maritime in March 2024.
She has recently led on delivering the Department for Transport’s priorities under the Retained EU Law Act and has previously worked in the Maritime Sector as the interim joint Deputy Director for Maritime Safety and Environment at DfT, and International Maritime Relations Officer at European Commission, to which she was seconded as a national expert from 2013 to 2015.
She has also held a variety of positions within government, including as Deputy Director for International Travel at DfT and Deputy Director for Investment and Digital Trade at the Department for International Trade, as well as other posts in the fields of environment, cleaner fuels and vehicles and aviation.
