Charity Partners

Almost since inception, London International Shipping Week (LISW) has partnered with the main UK-based seafarer charities with a view to giving them the opportunity to raise money during the week.

The LISW25 Steering Group would now like to expand the opportunity to more charities and ensure that those charities that get involved, gain the maximum benefit from their support from LISW.

Charities wishing to engage with LISW25 are therefore asked to email [email protected] proposing their involvement and indicating as follows:

  • Relevance to Maritime
  • Objectives as a charity (i.e. what benefit is delivered)
  • How it proposes to benefit from engagement with LISW25
  • What it intends to do during LISW25 week and during the build-up (e.g. running own events, partnering with existing supporters, publicising work, raising money etc., and if so how).

Upon receipt of this communication, the LISW25 Steering Group will review the proposal and approve, or otherwise, the charity. (This will be a rapid process, not requiring a formal Steering Group meeting).

Once approved, the Charity’s logo will be added to the LISW25 website with a click through to any part of the Charity website the Charity wishes. We hope the Charity may choose to draft specific material regarding their planned engagement with LISW25.

Heritage Partners

The LISW25 Steering Group is also keen to renew and expand its partnerships with heritage organisations after an exciting start to this programme in 2023.

Potential Heritage Partners are asked to email [email protected] proposing their involvement and indicating as follows:

  • Relevance to Maritime
  • Relevant UK maritime heritage
  • How it proposes to benefit from engagement with LISW25
  • What it intends to actually do during LISW25 week and during the build up (e.g. running own events, partnering with existing supporters, publicising work, raising money, making spaces available for third party events etc.).

Upon receipt of this communication, the LISW25 Steering Group will review the proposal and approve or otherwise the charity. (This will be a rapid process, not requiring a formal Steering Group meeting).

Once approved, the Partner’s logo will be added to the LISW25 website with a click through to any part of the Partner’s website the Partner wishes. We hope the Partner may choose to draft specific material regarding their planned engagement with LISW.
